Our family – like, the grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles – is camping in the woods of Vancouver Island. We are experiencing good food, sparkling conversation, and wonderful wilderness adventures. We might even climb a mountain and will definitely play in lakes during our time in nature.

From the geometric problem solving of setting up shelter to the fostering of autonomy for kids (and parents) while they explore the campsite, camping facilitates all sorts of lifelong learning and community building. Getting outside also makes us happier, healthier, and more productive.

Given that camping helps build healthy communities, how are you getting outside safely and connectively this summer?
