Foolin’ Around

Many historians think April Fools Day kicked off in the 16th century when calendars changed and folks got mixed up about the New Year. Those who stuck with the old process allegedly became targets of pranks, jokes, and all sorts of shenanigans. But nobody really knows how or why the world’s longest running joke got started.

April Fools’ Day also reminds us that humour is like glue and WIFI in our lives – it keeps us connected. Laughter breaks down walls and helps us bond. Humour makes tough talks easier and stressful days lighter. When we laugh together, our communities get stronger and more supportive.

April Fools’ Day isn’t just for fun; it’s for building trust and unity by challenging systems of control, hierarchy, and convention. Even at work, cracking a joke about the boss (tastefully, of course) can make leaders seem less like robots and more like regular humans. When the boss laughs along, it’s a “we’re all in this together” moment. Here are 121 jokes about the boss.

So, this April 1st, let’s celebrate the awesomeness of laughter and its magic to bring us closer.
