Who are you?

Who is anyone? Big question. I am a tall, sensitive drifter who laughs in the face of responsibility and, wears his heart on his sleeve. I have a passion for always doing what others would not. I love to be unique and try to live my life so that when someone reads my autobiography, they will laugh, cry and won’t put it down until they finish. I am currently living in Sweden, where I am pursuing an education in English language and literature. I have only just started, so over the next few years I am hoping that you will notice a decrease in grammatical errors, and spelling mistakes. I love run on sentences and can’t wait until I have, as John states, mastered the semi-colon.

What do you do for fun?

I drink coffee, talk about coffee and hang out at a coffee shop. I love nature, as any boy born on the beautiful, rain soaked, west coast does. I enjoy hiking, surfing, puddle jumping, basketball, cuddling up with a good book, listening to folk music, beat-boxing, Star Wars, writing, people watching, eating ice cream, bullshitting with friends, shot gunning beers, chopping wood, hitting the snooze button, snus-ing, dancing,   boating, bro-ing down and being Canadian.

What is your favorite community? Why?

I have two that I absolutely adore. First, the surfing community, because it is people from all walks of life unified in their love for travel, wave riding and getting wet.

Second, coffee snobs, because of there love for hot bean juice, art and hanging out at coffee shops with there mac books. I am not being sarcastic as that is exactly what I am doing while writing this.

What is your superpower?

I have the powers of height and charisma.

How do you use it to build community?

My freakish height unifies the towns folk, by bringing them together in an angry mob, carrying torches and pitch forks they try to run me out of town so that I will not consume anymore of there sheep. My charisma always helps in these situations to rally the crowd to my side and convince them that maybe a good spontaneous song and dance would be better fun. Who doesn’t love a good musical!!!

My Three Favourite Things About Kreston Are…

1. He’s Tall. Whether it’s giving you a “heads-up” about the weather or looking into the distance for things or taking stuff down from unreachable shelves, Kreston’s height always comes in handy.

2. Hilarious. Charismatic. Kind. With his unpretentious charm, his superb sense of humour and the fact that he’s just really, really, really nice, Kreston is the sort of person who always leaves people better than he found them. Unless he found you and your name is Steve Nash, then you were probably doing alright to begin with.

3. A Man of Good Island Stock. Kreston is from the community of Black Creek on Vancouver Island. He’s traveled and lived on the island from tip to tip and side to side and has made many friends along the way. As the world knows, Island folk are some of the saltiest, Earthiest, and coolest folk on the planet, and Kreston embodies our values, ideals and dramatic basketball skills in unprecedented ways.  I also love that he’s currently the Ambassador of Vancouver Island in Sweden. Because that’s an official title.
